Our superior method of manufacturing are why so many customers prefer our units over our competitor's units. Our method means
lower cost to the customer both initially and over a long term. HYBRID units have a rectifier built in for running avionics and air
conditioning on the ground, but are also augmented with batteries for starts. These batteries provide a "SAFETY NET" to the user should
the engine inadvertantly be turned off or run out of fuel. This type of unit will continue providing cranking power without even the
engine running, unlike other units such as HOBART Jet-X series that produce absolutely NO POWER when the engine is not running. That
NO POWER syndrome without the GPU engine running can cause an expensive hot start if it occurs during the start.
Our method
of making these GAS powered units means much smaller, more economical, and more efficient engines. Compare the HOBART engine
that is about the size of a compact car or farm tractor engine with our small commercial grade Vanguard Briggs & Stratton or Kohler
engine as is used in riding lawn mowers. Not only can these be overhauled for peanuts at your local lawn mower place, but they
also could be replaced with both a brand new engine and alternator for a fraction of overhauling a HOBART Jet-X engine. In fact,
due to this economical approach you could purchase multiple NEW units for what just one HOBART Jet-X would cost. Our most difficult
job in marketing this type of unit is convincing potential clients that these units perform as promised for such a low price, since
some have never experienced anything other than the older dinosaur style of ENGINE POWERED GPU's. We would be more than happy
to provide several satisfied customers for you to contact. HYBRID units may be purchased with or without the optional gas powered
generator.
Types of units available include hangar units, ramp only units, and ramp/hangar units. All of these
units have built in automatic current limiting that provides the soft start feature that many aircraft require. The
ramp/hangar units have the option of being powered from either the internal engine or your hangar's normal single phase power.
This means not having to run the engine when inside the hangar, hence no noise or fumes. It would be like having two units rolled
into one and would make sense if you won't be needing to use a unit on the ramp at the same time as using one inside the hangar.
